I just posted a video in our private facebook group called "shift happens"
You can ask to join our group here https://www.facebook.com/groups/140978879272993/
But the video is about HOW FAST things are changing.
I mean EXPONENTIALLY changing.
For example:
65% of the jobs of the future, DON'T EVEN EXIST YET.
And knowledge is changing and growing so fast, if you were to start college, within 2 years (i.e. before you're half way through, lol), most of what you learned would be obsolete.
This tells me 2 things.
1) You need to stay on top of the game.
...that's why I've been emailing you so much about video marketing, seo, ppc, your website, automated systems, etc., etc., etc.
Online marketing is ALWAYS changing.
2) If you're not even online yet (the way you should be, and I GUARANTEE YOU that 99% of you ARE NOT)...
and you're doing the same things you have done for the last half decade (i.e. print ads, using constant contact, etc)...
YOU ARE FALLING BEHIND AT AN EXPONENTIAL RATE.
All it takes is one (1) person in your market who knows what they're doing (or hires me, lol) and you are in for a world of hurt.
Be that one person.
Take $3k/month of something you're doing that you can't track and isn't working, and let's put it to GOOD use.
Something that will get you a steady stream of NEW clients, on a daily basis.]]>

Ok, what now my fellow salon spa owners?
I hope you had an A-MA-ZING Mothers Day!
Ideally you were BOOK SOLID...
AND sold a ton of gift certificates...
But what Now???
The "Big 3" are over (X-mas, V-day & M-day).
That was most of your sales.
Not only is that over, but now you've got to redeem those gift certificates all year long.
And during the slower months, to boot.
So what do you do?
EASY ANSWER.
You take a break from working in your business and work on it, setting up some additional marketing systems.
Why?
Because they'll bring in new clients on auto-pilot.
Here are some options for you (& we can help with any/all of them):
1 - Make sure your site is MOBILE Friendly before Google removes you from the search results.
2 - Make sure your site scores well (use WebsiteGrader.com but don't give them your email).
3 - SEO your site (for professionals only).
4 - Have us setup a "Sales Juggernaut" Marketing System on your site, so you're not wasting those visits.
5 - Create a Press Release for us to get national exposure for you (the last client I did this for got featured in a national magazine as well as 100+ news channels)
6 - Switch from WASTEFUL Print Advertising to SMART internet advertising (my favorite thing to do)
7 - Get DOZENS AND DOZENS of 5-Star Reviews Online (this is easy)
8 - Hire us to coach and mentor you

19 days to go until Mobile-geddon (April 21st)
What's then?
The day Google will DE-RANK all sites that are NOT Mobile Optimized.
BUT it's already too late, most likely.
because they won't come check on that day, they've already checked, they already know.
So if you're on their "naughty list" and they're planning on bumping your ranking off of Google,
you'll have to wait for them to come around again to re-rank you higher if you fixed it inbetween now and then.
Just another reason to get started ASAP and get your site current.
Contact me and let's see what your chances are...]]>http://salonmarketing.com/mobile-geddon-for-your-business/feed/0Google’s mobile algorithm changes April 21st 2015 for websites, Are You Ready?

On April 21st, MILLIONS of businesses will "fall off" of Google.
Why?
Because they're NOT mobile optimized.
Here's what Google just said:
"Starting April 21, we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results. Consequently, users will find it easier to get relevant, high quality search results that are optimized for their devices."
This makes perfect sense, because MOST of the people online are on mobile devices.
So... YOUR WEBSITE BETTER NOT ONLY SCORE WELL,
AND BE MONETIZED,
BUT ALSO MUST NOW BE MOBILE-FRIENDLY
...or Google will drop you and your (smarter) competition will be getting your clients.
So if you've been thinking of upgrading your site, NOW is the time.

http://salonmarketing.com/salon-spa-holiday-marketing-plans/
http://salonmarketing.com/salon-spa-holiday-marketing-plans/#respondMon, 03 Nov 2014 17:27:14 +0000http://salonmarketing.com/?p=898Have you ever heard this phrase "Information Overload"?
It's something MANY owners get.
NOT knowing where to begin because they want to know everything before starting.
So they study and research everything!
This is from FEAR of making a mistake, or not being perfect.
(hint: it doesn't need to be perfect, just done)!
They then get a feeling of overload (sounds like we all could use a spa visit, haha).
This leads (usually) to never do anything (or not nearly enough).
Where all you need are 3 things:
1 - Know your Goal, i.e. $100,000 in sales this Holiday season.
2 - Create a PLAN (the steps you need to take)
3 - Schedule TIME to do it.
It - is - that - simple.
However, it's the plan that many of us fall into information overload on.
Should you do print?
Television?
Radio?
Web?
Facebook?
Should you do PPC ads? Where? On google, or facebook? or yahoo? bing? youtube?
What should the ad say? What should my special be?
What about my own clients, should they get this offer too? Or just new clients?
Should I do a groupon? (NO YOU SHOULDN'T).
Soooooooo many questions, you don't know where to start.
So you never do, you just fall back to what you did before, which has you struggling with little to no growth.
Well,
Just know this.
IF you want to have bigger sales than last year, you can't keep doing the same thing as last year.
A recent call I had (I hope they don't mind me sharing) said they had a goal, to grow by a few hundred thousand dollars.
AND to cut back from working so much, constantly.
I asked "How. How will you do this?"
And they said "doing the same thing as the year before, running a "brand" ad in a magazine".
...but doing that for the last few years had actually lowered their sales, they were spiraling downwards.
Guess what?
NOT going to happen, no growth for them.
That is unless they try something new.
Are YOU ready to boost your biz?
Start with your foundation. I can help you.
Let's try something that's proven, cheap and you own.

How Google's Pigeon Update affects your small business
The latest major update from Google affects local businesses.
Early reports are showing how they've deleted that "local map listing" entirely for thousands of searches.
Overall, this is leaving us local businesses with 75% LESS traffic/visitors.
This (naturally) forces small businesses who often can't afford it to have to pay for PPC ads to Google.
They now lean toward major directories like yelp and such instead of local sites.
Instead of paying yelp (& others) thousands per month, or Google thousands for PPC ads, this is another way.
What is the other solution?
Here are 3:
1. Score your website to see how it's doing (this was a major part of the panda update) using this website grader.
(if below 60% contact me for a new website, ASAP)!
Because without a good panda score, Google won't show your site at all.
2. How's your traffic (visitors)?
Do you need some monthly SEO from an expert?
This pigeon update relies heavily on "seo linkbuilding" and "keyword optimization" as a key factor in determining their results...
...of which most local businesses have little/none.
3. Use these Promo Videos I've been talking about for a Quick & Easy fix to get onto page one of Google!
How? It's all YouTube based! (& google owns youtube).
Choose 1, 2 or 3, but choose something! The game just got serious.
