Lots of ideas on my site, have you joined? It’s bizarre. They really don’t see it as stealing. That, or they feel wronged somehow and justify it.

I’m very disappointed to have to say that I have already had stolen hours, padded time sheets, and $650.00 in back bar and retail products be unaccounted for. I have taken the blame for my inattention to these details, have had them return all the door keys and locked up the retail products in my office until I can find a more secure solution. I think it shocked them that I was so aggressive in my actions as I am normally laid back and mellow. I just feel so violated. I only have 5 staff members and I wouldn’t have suspected this to ever be an issue. How can they look me in the eye after stealing hours… maybe they don’t see it as stealing? (I see taking a nap in the meditation room without clocking out as stealing. Right???!!! Or coming in an hour and half earlier than on the schedule as sitting on the clock to gain hours. If we knew she was coming we could have booked someone there.) That has made me so sad that I wanted to part ways with them all and just start over with new a new staff but we have appointments and I had no back up plan. This will NEVER happen again. I am preparing a Plan B, C, D and E!!! I need help doing this though. Any ideas?
I’m glad to see that you can smile at the end of a day like you’ve had. I too look for the silver lining and the good in people. But I will not be so trusting from now on.

I have three remote locations that I staff where the girls take their own appointments and provide different servives of tanning and skin care. I have to believe that they are honest and taking the scheduled appointments. This same type of situation happened to me when I noticed the catch crystal container on the microderm equipment kept filling up but no indication of that service was noted on the weekly service performance sheet. Obviously the individual was performing the microderm and taking a cash payment that wasn’t showing up in the weekly receipts….Yep, it can happen to the best of us… ” Trust ” is hard to determine on an employment interview when everything elese looks good.

I have been receiving your emails for about a year now, they are helpful for basic tips on how I can make increases in monies and productivity by utilizing the company website, better marketing, etc. But today, I am actually impressed by you. Showing the vulnerability of a business owner is refreshing. I know we all go through it, but it makes me feel good knowing that with all your marketing knowledge and productive exercises, that you too, are as human as I. The greatest Christmas present ever!

Thank You,
Casandra
